This was a great challenge Vicki. I scrapped about a Science Badge Girl Scout workshop at MIT that my husband took DD to. My cracked glass is on the die cut flower. I used metal in the small frame at the top of the page and then used metal brads to hold on my journaling.
Sometimes it is Rocket Science
Two girls from our Girl Scout Troop went into the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for a badge workshop. The program was entitled “High in the Sky” and it was on Saturday October 22, 2005 at MIT. They had terrific talks, hands-on-activities and rocket building planned for the girls. I love Girl Scouts because it offers girls such varied experiences. I think that it is incredibly important to support Science and Math with our girls so we tend to offer our troop any activities related to these areas.
Joe went to MIT so he was thrilled about taking Colleen there for this cool workshop. They spent a great day together and had a lot of fun building their rocket. They built theirs so well that it went really high into the sky and landed on the balcony of a near by student dormitory.
After their fun day at MIT they poked around Cambridge and spent some time at Harvard University where Colleen wants to attend law school some day. It was a wonderful day for both Coll and Joe.

That is the link to the site where I got the GS paper. I first saw it when my good friend Joni jstarbright sent me some gifts made with it. It is so different and perfect for older Girl Scouts rather than so cutesy.
