I love how this one turned out! It's a combination of white crayon resist and masking...You rip a sheet of scratch paper in half and lay it on the glossy cardstock to form the mask, then stamp, draw with crayon, and use Sponge Daubers to fill in color. Remove the scratch paper and admire what you've created! ;)
I stamped the flowers with Elegant Eggplant ink as Basic Black just seemed too stark. I've had the color combo of Pixie Pink, Lovely Lilac, and Cool Caribbean in my head for quite a while so I was glad I finally got to use it. This card along with the other three I did for my class this month is the reason why I am almost completely out of glossy cardstock! And I forgot to order more, silly me!
I got the idea for the masking from this card by kimreid_stamper: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Thanks for looking! And go comment on Kim's card, it's awesome! ;)

I have never seen this technique before!! It took me a minute to figure out what the "crayon resist" part was (DUH!!) but I think I've got it now. This is an absolutely beautiful card! TFS!!!

OK, so I HAD to CASE this. It's perfect for my card buffet on Saturday. I used different colors, but it's almost identical. Thanks for the inspiration. I'm guessing that yours in person is even more beautiful, scans of this technique just don't do it justice. I'll post a photo of mine later and link back to yours!
