This is for the TLC99 challenge to make a composition book. This was fun. I have covered a tablet before but this is my first time to toally cover a book. I would have attached the ribbon from the inside covers if I had thought but I didn't. Oh well! I thought I would try to paint on a chip board flower to create a little scene to match the swirly leaves and flowers of the designer paper. It turned out cute. I daubed celery craft on the bottom half of the flower and bashful blue on the top and dried with my heat gun. I sketched and filled in my little trees with a waterproof artist pen and used the fern stamp with olive craft ink for the leaves. I used a dry brush to daub olive craft around the grass to add texture and then daubed little dabs of blue, blush and white craft ink for flowers. I sponged a little bit of white craft on the sky area for clouds and then put clear embossing powder on and heated with my gun to seal. I used a little chip board buckle thingy to secure the tie ribbon after I glued it down. This is by no means perfect but it was a fun first attempt.

This is soooo gorgeous! It gave me inspiration to dig out this paper and do some scrapbooking! Thanks for sharing your talent with us, Kittie! A beauty, as always.

Oh, yes, I do think it is perfect -- love your little chipboard scene -- an extra not included on most notebooks of any sort!!! I spotted this in the thumbnail -- I haven't been able to get into the TLC99 gallery at all today -- wonder if it's just me, or what? So glad I saw it, great job!!!
