My second set of 4.24" square cards from my new TAC set, Wild Animals. When I made these, I had also just received the Coluzzle Bookplates template, and several sets of Provo Craft's Simply Chic stamps which I also used in the making of these. I wanted to upload these five all in one photo, but the colours were just terrible with both the purples and the blues, so I broke them up.
The hippos are stamped in Weathered Wood and coloured in with violet pencil crayon. Used the Coluzzle nested tags and bookplates templates to cut out the hippos. I cut down the 12x12 striped paper into 4x4 squares, cut the purple paper into a 4x12 strip, then tore strips off the purple paper and adhered to the striped squares. For the hippo tag on the left, I set the eyelet and tied fibres through it, then adhered the tag onto the stripes, then adhered the whole shebang to the card base. For the tag on the right, I adhered the bookplate lightly while I punched holes for the brads through both the bookplate and striped paper, then adhered the whole shebang to the card base.
Kudos again to my very patient and supportive husband who had his Magic deck-building constantly interrupted by me while I made these cards. ("How does this look? Is it cute? Would it be cuter if I did this? What could I do to make it better?" about fifty thousand times. Even after that he still likes the cards!)
Thanks for looking!!
