This bargello pattern was done to perfection by JulieHRR for May's DD gallery "Playing with Pattern:" Gallery at Splitcoaststampers I just had to make one for this gallery when I saw the theme was "Made From Scrap." This is a great project for using scraps of coordinated designer papers.
My variation is also a mosaic, using detail copper EP for the "grout." This was done by using sticker paper as my base and a 1/16th strip of cardstock as my spacer. The copper EP sticks in the spaces after the bargello strips are all laid down.
This Enchante designer paper is so pretty but also very subtle, and it seemed to need something after the design was completed. Since I didn't want to cover up the pattern too much, I settled on this acetate overlay just using the scroll stamp from Carte Postale with copper EP.
The mosaic part of this project changed the measurements a little, so this card ended up being 5 1/4 by 7 inches.
