I have to start off by saying that this card was entirely inspired by Cindy_Haffner, and I CASED it off of hers found here: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I am a big fan of hers, and if you haven't seen her gallery, you're missing something special!!!
I watercolored the main image as well as the holly. The white brads used to be yellow. I swiped just the head of the brad onto my Versamark clear, then dipped it in white ep and heat set, holding it with tweezers. I must buy some white brads!!!
The product I want to feature that I "couldn't live without", as Julia aptly described in the rules for this challenge, are my MAKE-UP APPLICATOR SPONGES!!!! Cover Girl makes the best ones. I'm hooked on using them now, and I think when you sponge the edges with a bit of ink, it just touches the piece off so nicely! I sponged the edges of the red panels and the large white panel with one of my sponges, dipped in Chestnut brown dye ink by Memories.
Holly was stamped in clear and embossed in gold ep.
"Peace" was stamped in clear and embossed in white ep.
Open Holly, "Peace" and "Charity the Christmas Angel" all by High Hopes Stamps.
Disclaimer: NO PAPER WAS DISTRESSED IN THE MAKING OF THIS CARD (I've been doing so much distressing as of late, but this card hasn't got any... hehe)

Wow, thanks for the kinds words Crissy, your card is gorgeous.
I love that image and those cute candy canes. Sponging always adds so much, I find, it just gives it that extra something. -- your watercolorinig is superb. Great card.

WOW...that is so beautiful and just STRIKING!! I love the way you used the grey in the fur trim of the angels coat to make the fur more 3-d....its those special "touches"....the highlights and shadows like those that really totally change the image from what was originally stamped to what you have in your finished project and what makes that image uniquely yours!! Its always so much fun seeing your vision...and I agree about Cindy's gallery...AWESOME!
