This is for a Think Snow swap. The large snowflake is made with a Dreamweaver brass stencil and their regular embossing paste, then sprinkled with DD glitter while still wet. I love this technique, especially for the holidays. Here's a great link with instructions for all kinds of techniques using brass stencils: http://stencilwithstyle.com/How%20To.htm
I first did the paste embossing on the Brocade Blue card base, and then overlaid the image with the Holiday Thyme paper in which I cut out a 3 x 3 window.
I added more DD glitter on the small snowflakes around the image and on the Holiday Thyme paper using the clear Glaze pen. I don't have their glue pen yet, but this seems to work fine.
This is a 5 1/4 inch square card. The photo doesn't come close to showing how sparkly it really is. Sigh. I sure wish I could buy more sheets of this gorgeous snowflake paper. :o)

Very beautiful...I sure love it. The lettering is great looking too, I love the little circles... I bet that sparkle is fabulous IRL. I too wish I could by an entire pack of just the snowflake paper in Holiday Thyme!

There's so many things I love about this card I don't know where to start! The colors are beautiful, and the techniques you've used together show such attention to detail, it's just breathtaking... bravo!

I can see sparkles all over it beautifully in the photo so I can just imagine how spectacular it is IRL! You certainly get an interesting effect with the embossing template and paste. It almost looks like its been cut out and glued on there. This is just so pretty! I love the cut out mat and the piercing, too. I know this is going to be the most amazing card in the whole swap!
