There was not a gallery for Nuts and Bolts (a retired set), so uploaded this to Linen, as I did stamp Linen on the front part under the other stamps. I had to get this retired set and the retired Tool Time as my DH loves his tools.
I have had this card in mind for a while, but it didn't come together until today when Beth posted the challenge for Pocket Sliders. We always tell DH he is nuts, so that is where I came up with that and he really is the nuts and bolts that keep our family together and going strong.
I also decided to use the color challenge from last week, true thyme, cranberry crisp, and blush blossom. It seemed manly enough to me.
I first stamped Linen on the front, then stamped the words using my snap stamps, then masked those words and stamped the nuts and bolts stamp all over the front. The ribbon is a brown color, but believe it or not almost matches the true thyme color. I got it from reasonable ribbon but I don't think she carries it anymore. I just happen to have my ribbon out when I was getting my paper out and saw what a good match it was..lol.
On the inside I learned a valuable lesson. If you have a ribbon running down the middle you have to place your words on either side of the ribbon..lol. Figured this out when I was completely done the first time and saw that you couldn't see half the words..lol. Hope DH likes it!
