My mother made these wonderful pillow boxes using patterned paper, cardstock, and the Coluzzle pillow box template. She had to 'cheat' the template to get the larger box to be so long, meaning she slid the template down the page to lengthen the straight cuts along the sides before cutting the second box end.
The silver and white PP is from a variety kit from Walmart, and the blue CS is from a Value Pack from Michaels. The ribbon is some wired sheer from Michaels, and the little round thing stuck on the ribbon is a metal charm that says Thank You in fancy script, which I picked up from the wedding section in Michaels. The large pillow box was filled with three packs of fancy cocoas, and the small pillow box contains a few dozen squares of Swiss milk chocolate.
Just in case you were wondering, the yellow boxes below the pillow boxes are boxes of hedgehog belgian chocolates wrapped in matte yellow wrap, and tied with fabric ribbon and topped with bows that go with each kind of ribbon.
These were token thank you gifts to the people at the University of Regina who I felt went out of their way helping me with my project. I was happy to be able to show my appreciation by making the gifts as pretty as I could, and it was an unexpected bonus to be able to use these hard-to-use papers.
Thanks for looking!
