I decided that with the abundance of holiday catalogs arriving in the mail, it was a good time to learn the faux cloisonne technique.
This is my first attempt using the Lands End catalog and a stamp by Paula Best. I stamped the image in various pages that had large areas of color and then embossed the image with gold emblossing powder. The stacks of shirts and pants in the various colors provided nice color gradiation. I did a rough cut out of the entire image, and then mounted it on cardstock before cutting out the individual sections. The heart is mounted on dimensionals, as is the entire panel.

Beautiful card, lovely colors, and great layout!! I've done faux cloissone with floral design stamps, but you've just given me inspiration to try it with a lot more!!!
