Well, it does seem like third time's the charm, because I'm actually happy with this one!
Most of my "clever" ideas actually come from fixing a boo-boo, and this one is no exception. I decided to make a matchbook card and scored the card too short, so I made another score, thinking the other one would be hidden behind the card anyway. But then I decided to use both score to make the card bulkier, like a real matchbook, and then came the idea of hanging something in there. Hence the hanging bird and the window made with the punch.
Then I layered a window sheet stamped with white StazOn to add detailing. There was a lot of measurement involved to mat the window and to put the window sheet flush with the card using the brads.
To decorate the bottom, I used the new ribbons and the die-cut kit. I stamped "First Class", from the Fancy Flexible Phrases set, because I liked how it matched the bird in flight (and made the card an all-occasion one).
Hope you enjoy!
