I really liked the sketch that Roxie provided, so wanted to try this out. It was very easy once I followed her directions for cutting. Here's what I did. I measure 1 ½” down the open side and marked it. I then angled the card on the cutting edge at the mark and at the corner where I scored the card then make the first cut. For the second cut I just by cut ¾” off the open side.
For the recollections paper, I cut it the width of the panel, then marked where I wanted the end of it to be, and also cut this at the same angle as the original card. Worked out great, perfect 1/4 inch mat all the way around. On the inside of the card I stamped Floral on the back piece. For the small piece on the front I used one of the stamps from Flowers of Gratitude. I got this set since it matches the Floral BG perfectly. I used the ink pads and my aqua painter to color the flowers, and then sponged baroque burgundy around the edges after distressing the edges. I then tied on the ribbon. I love that wine colored organdy, so pretty!
