i LOVE my vase punch by McGill. and when i punched a vase out of my melted crayon papers, i thought my head would burst i was so pleased! anyhooo, i wanted to create a very elegant and simple series of cards that would be fairly easy to make many of to give in sets as gifts.
i think the series would convey better with a photograph rather than a scan, because there is also a dimensional aspect to some of the vases. i punched multiples of the vases and taped them together so that the vase is raised on the surface.
two of the vases were made by using the negative space (the part punched from the index card) to use as a stencil. so many things to do with one punch!
i used a coluzzle to cut an oval to use as a stencil for the shadow.
