I needed a sympathy card for my friend who lost her brother in law. My mom was telling me about a card she had done before so I took that idea and made this card. On the blush blossom paper I stamped linen in blush. Over that I stamped the sympathy in mellow moss. For the trees I took some irridescent ice EP and mixed in super copper pearl-ex, then stamped my trees in versamark and sprinkled on the EP. It took a bit longer for it to set and had a pearl ex haze around the trees, but when I was done I took a swiffer cloth and just wiped off the haze. I stamped the trees on shimmer white paper. I punched out the corner of both the shimmer and the mellow moss with my 1/4 inch hole punch to give it a ticket corner look. I will be buying the ticket corner though, much easier! The green eyelets are ones I had around, they are non SU, then I tied copper cording through the two eyelets. A very simple yet elegant sympathy card.

wow - the copper goes so wonderfully with the mellow moss and blush blossom! i usually think to pair it with the darker colors in the RR color family. i would never have thought to put it together.
Friends are like the walls of a house. Sometimes they hold you up, sometimes you lean on them. But sometimes, it's enough to know they're just standing by.
