All the men in my family are military men ~ my Dad is retired Army (26 years Active service), my hubby is Active Army (18 years) and both of my brothers are Active Army (one 16 years, the other 14). I made these Veteran's Day cards for them. They all use the same stamps that I purchased in a Stamp/Scrap store in Branson, MO in May. I use Black Staz-On on all the stamping, except on the Copper Embossed Card. I used Brushed Gold Paper (that I just love) on two of the cards. The saying on the larger stamp:
To The Soldiers of America
Standing right beside us
We forget that you are there,
When trouble comes to find us
We turn to you with prayer.
Without a hesitation
You step into the fight,
Standing right before use
To protect us day and night.
You leave your home and family
Knowing where you're bound,
With courage, strength and valor
You stand a piece of ground.
Security, Peace and Freedom
Are the gifts that you supply
The Soldiers of America
On you we can rely.
Thank You
I will soon need to make a trip back to Branson, or make a phone call to them to order two more stamps that are for the Air Force, since my oldest son will be leaving January 9th for Air Force Basic Training. He is going to be an electrician on B-2 Bombers.
Thanks for reading ~
Happy Veteran's Day to all Veterans out there ~ THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! from a very proud American!!

I love them. I have a son who is in the Army he has been in the Army for 5 year's. He was also in the Marine's for 4 year's he got out and went to Bible school. Then he went into the Army. He has been to Iraq was there when the war started.
Was there for a year. He has 12 years all in all in the Military.
His brother is a Marine. He too has been in for 12 years.
He too was over in Iraq when the war started. And then went back for a 2nd time. My husband was in the Navy for 30 years. Our daughter was in the Navy for 4 year's her husband is in the Navy as well has been for 10 years.
My father-in-law was in what was called the ArmyAir many many years ago. Befor my husband was ever born.
His grandfather was also in the Military.
I would love a stamp like this for the Army, Navy, Marines.
Do you have a email address for this place so I can order them from them???????????????
I need to come up with a card for my son the Marine. For the Marine Corp Ball is coming up on Nov 18th.

Hi Shirley.. thanks so much for your post. I emailed you the info and am going to post it here too in case someone might want to get ahold of the store. They had stamps for all the branches, plus papers and such. It's a great place to shop.

I love this saying/poem. My husband's grandad is a WWII Vet and we always try and send him a card on Veteran's Day. Thank you for the great inspiration! I wanted something new to tell him thank you. Too many of us forget about those that have served before our current war.
