stamped deer then stamped again on acetate, flipped it over and brayered the image for the mirror (thanks Beate! that works a lot easier than running the brayer over the inked image!)
masked the deer and filled in
colored with primacolor pencils and baby oil
I dunno... looking at this uploaded now...help me out here.. the reflection looks too flat...maybe I need some reeds or something in the water at the bottom? what do you think?

My husband is an avid hunter - I have considered getting this set a number of times to make cards just for him, but never have. Now that I see this, this makes me really want to get it. As far as the reflection looking flat - my take is, it is beautiful! A few reeds would only add to the realness of the card and would look great, but hey, you went to alot of work here and it looks wonderful as is. Excellent job!

Gorgeous!! Your deer reflection came out great, but you're right - maybe you need to add those reeds along the shore to give it a little more dimension. It's still awesome just as it is though - love it!
