The bg was made by using chalk on a plastic stencil. I bought several of these from a LSS. They are cool for various bg - came in circles, hearts, geometric shapes. I don't have any idea what they are called as the store owner cut sheets into small pieces to sell to those who took classes.

Very cool background. Goes perfectly with the 'fish'erman too as I think the honeycomb also looks like fish scales.
