I used two different techniques on this card. The background paper is done using the watercolor roll technique and the trees are done with wax paper resist.

Here is the link for the wax paper resist technique... Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers
If you want to stamp your image first like I did, use StazOn ink.
For the watercolor roll: I scribbled 3 sections (each a different color) with watercolor crayons on acetate the width of my brayer. Sprtz with water. Then choose the piece of cardstock that you are going to use as your background and spritz it with water also. Roll your brayer through the wet watercolor crayon scribbles and then roll on your paper. You may re-ink and roll in different directions if you want. Let dry and use as desired.
Hope this helps!

I forgot to mention that I applied the ink to the wax paper resist with my sponge daubers. You can also use your brayer and a spectrum pad or any solid color! Get Creative!!!
