The solid green paper is 1/8” smaller than the black card base and the designer paper is cut another 1/8” smaller than the green. Measured 3/8” and 1 ¾” on the sides, make a score line on the front of the paper and fold. I did trim the designer paper shorter so it wouldn’t show after the fold. Trim the fold down off the side.
I attached the black along the long piece and did the decorative cut then took the left over and pieced it on the short side without having to cut a second time with decorative scissors. Paper piercing is done along the edge of the solid fold down.
My frog has low foam squares that make him just a bit higher than the fold thickness, his outside fingers are glued to the solid green. I cut the grass blades and glued in place.
For the sentiment that says Oh Happy Day! I stamped an O and cut out in a square shape to cover the A, freehand squiggle lines added last. The tag is just freehand cut and dots tied on with embroidery thread.
