This is a pocket card that eventually is going to
end up on a scrapped page. The button is from
a dress I made years ago. Did any of you have those long jumper dresses - tons of country plaid fabric - stitched up under the bodice - with the cute little ceramic buttons sewn on the front?? Well, I was selling Longaberger at the time - they
seemed to go with the baskets when I did my home shows - anyhow, I don't wear them anymore so I cut the buttons off!!!

Very pretty! My mother was a seamstress and had an old coffee can (back when the lid was metal too and fit back on) that she put all her buttons in. She never threw anything away without first cutting off the buttons AND zippers. As a child I would play for hours in her button can because there were many shaped ones! Especially baby/child shapes. She must have 1000's of buttons in there. I'm sure I could make use of many of them!
