I wanted to make a quick, colorful, girlie birthday card so I grabbed the first two coordinating designer papers in girlie colors that I came to on the giant pile. I stamped the U on the paper and cut it out like a stencil. The U stencil was then glued over a pale green (non-SU!) frame. I pressed a Cool Caribbean panel onto the Versamark pad and embossed it with iridescent EP--super glittery--and then put the U stencil over that with dimensional tape.
The dimensional tape that I always use is Scotch Brand, comes in a roll; buy it in the hardware department or sometimes where they keep tape or mailing supplies. It's firm, doesn't collapse or squish down, very sticky, and you can cut it to any size or shape you need. I know I was thrilled when someone pointed me in its direction, so I thought there might be someone else out there who doesn't already know about it.

Ink: Versamark, Rose Red, Regal Rose, CTMH Key Lime
Accessories: Brads, ribbon, dimensional tape, ticket corner punch, iridescent EP
Techniques: Practicing self control in not spending 30 minutes sorting through all the designer paper trying to make a choice, but rather just sort of grabbing and running with it!

That someone is me -- shopping this weekend -- was looking at all those tapes -- almost bought the Scotch -- put it back and took something from the craft aisle instead -- oh, well, now I know!!! This card is wonderful and fun -- love the colors and that bright paisley paper, great ribbons and I love the celebrate tab sticking out -- again, your layers and dimension show very well!!! Thanks for the tip on the tape!!!

So full of texture and girly! Thanks for your directions too on your really cool "U"! I also use that dimensional tape. Love how you can cut it for the proper size. TFS
