Loved the sketch from Roxie so wanted to try another one. For this one I also use the color challenge. When I was thinking about what to use, I wanted to make a thinking of you card for the lady that married Larry and I. We had a real connection, so try to stay in touch a few times a month. She loved my cards when she was here, so wanted to send her another one (she lives about 2 hours from us).
I stamped floral on the main card base in Burgundy. I actually used the retired baroque burgundy, since I have so much of it, and not much of bravo. On the moss I first stamped my retired script background and then overstamped this with print pattern. This two background stamps together is new to me, so still working on it.. lol. Then on the so saffron I stamped linen and over that stamped the little stamp from the set (no idea what the stamp is suppose to be!). For the flowers I stamped the stems in mellow moss (mine is VERY juicy!), then since I don't have the so saffron marker but do have the burgundy one, I stamped the flowers into the saffron pad, then used the marker to color certain blossoms. Once that was dry I stamped the whole thing with versamark and then poured on iridescent ice EP, and viola! Dazzling Diamonds.
I used my 1/16 inch punch to put holes in either side of the stems and threaded some funky fibers into the holes.

Great job layering the backgrounds, they look fabulous. The little stamp is supposed to be a butterfly--at least, that's what it looks like to me! I love Dazzling Diamonds, it always looks so neat!
