Roxie was so very kind to send me this pig image and the words, as I just totally fell in love with them! I wanted to make this card for a special friend that is here on SCS and has been there for me through everything that happened. She has no idea this card is for her, hope she likes it.
I wanted to use Roxie's sketch challeng, as I thought it would be good with the image she sent me.
I watercolored the pig with my stamp pad and aqua painter using creamy caramel and pixie pink. I then used my sharpie marker to color all the flowers yellow and then my journaler marker to color in each center black, as these are the flowers we have right outside my front door. Leaves are done with a sharpie too. You can't see but the 4 leaf clover she is holding is colored with the green gelly roll pen.
I then sponged the field in Always Artichoke, and the sky with bashful blue. I wanted to stick with the same colors so figured each panel would be creamy caramel and pixie pink. I found a piece of creamy caramel that I had stamped with the paisley stamp from Fresh Fillers, and thought it was perfect for this card. For the Pixie Pink I used the retired homespun plaid stamp in the same color. I then distressed the edges with my fingernail and the edge of my scissors.
I matted the picture on Close to Cocoa and then tied a piece of pink gingham I had and put a knot on there of black gingham.
On the Bashful Blue background I used the flower stamp from Fresh Fillers. I added two prima flowers to it, I stacked up a light yellow and a dark yellow flower in the large and small size and added a black brad from the vintage brad pack, to make it look like the flowers in the field she is in. For the words I sponged on caramel and pixie pink, again to tie it all together. Lots of work, but definately worth it for my friend!

And Lisa I totally loved the card. I've been so busy I haven't been here in a while but I'm thinking of you all and hope all is well with you. Again thank you so much for the card I'll treasure it always.
