My Friends asked me to make this for a friend of theirs named Amy. Her DH deployed to Iraq today and they wanted to put a smile on her face and let her know that they were thinking of her. I decided to make a card to go with it. The tin and paper were both picked up at HL. The tin was 50% off so I couldn't resist. The two different kinds of paper are covering the entire peice. I used modgepodge to apply the paper and then I modgepodged it again to seal it all on. Then I put the ribbon on.
By popular demand: ROFL! I have had a few people pm me and ask how I get the paper to fit so nicely around the lids. It's actually several different peices. You can tell better in the last one I did. But I cut a peice to fit the top and then I adhere that. And then I cut peices to fit the side of the lid just slightly taller then what is needed. and then I modgepodge that down little by little so that it lays nicely pressing over the edge as I go. It's time consuming. This tin took me an hour, but it was worth it.

I guess it's okay if you like pink and green! teehee....I love this. You did a fantastic job and I love that it is modgepodged on there. I am sure that she would be cheered up to receive something so purty and made from the heart. Beautiful job, Queenie! ;)
