I needed to make an anniversary card for my mom and step-father, so this is what I came up.
I got inspiration for the background colors here on SCS. I decided to try out my new scor-it tool, and wanted to try the grid background I have seen people doing. I cut my paper to the size I wanted it to be, then scored every 1 inch going both ways. Then when I was stamping I turned the card over so the raised sides were facing down, placed this on a piece of fun foam (have heard you can use paper towels too), so that it had give in it. Then proceeded to stamp this out.
Used creamy caramel to stamp linen, then used the different colors on the background piece. Both of these pieces were stamped on shimmer white paper. I love the way this turned out and will be doing it again very soon. I stamped the True Thyme for the words in versamark first, then into the True Thyme ink, so that I could emboss the words. I thought it looked a little plain, so added a tiny piece of my new ribbon to it, with a heart brad. Roses are stamped in pretty in pink (largest), and rose romance (stamped off once for 2nd layer, full on for top layer). Leaves are stamped in certainly celery for bottom layer and true thyme for second layer.
I have been telling my mom she needs roses in winter, so had to use this on her card. Also wanted to use some of the retired stuff she brought me up when she came, so used the color rose romance and eggplant envy for her.

*thud*--that was me falling off my chair! This is gorgeous! I love the colors you chose, the layout, the grid pattern (wonder if I could do that with my cutter?) and the stitched ribbon/heart brad is the perfect touch!
Totally saving this for inspiration!
