Here's my Pumpkin Patch with a lil graveyard in the background... wouldn't you love to walk thru this on a cool Halloween night?
Some of you asked how I did this... well I'll try my best to explain:
the sky: It's a combo of both pencils and pastels. (For the moon I used Yo Yo Yellow and the small circle from simply circles and stamped it where I wanted it) I took the yellow watercolor pencil and lightly drew where I wanted the "moon beams". Grabbed Blender pen, in circular motion I blended the "beams" into the final width. Went back over it with yellow pastel. You can see it better in person... anyway. LIGHTLY Filled in remaining sky with light blue pencil to the edges of the yellow. Went in after with a darker purple pastel in just the middle of the blue area (just keep layer pastels going from lightest to darkest). Then the final layer was filled in with black pastel to give further depth. I finished by touching up the yellow with pastels, again, and sprayed fixative (or you could use hair spray) over the card. I drew the trees in right away just so I knew where they were going and went in after all that to darken them with both pencils and pastels.
Hope I explained this okay, if you have more questions, feel free to PM me.
