This is a bookmark I made in memory of my cat who I lost on Tuesday 8/22. She was 15 and like no other cat I have seen or will ever have again. I will be laminating this with some of her fur.

I am so sorry about the loss of your kitty. I clicked on here because she looked like my cat Merlin. He is just white and orange but his orange spots are in the same places and I have never seen another cat quite like it before. What a great way to remember her. ((hugs))

I'm sorry to hear you lost your friend. I lost my calico I had for 17 years, about 2 years ago. She was a great cat! I rescued Cheeto (my avatar) from the pound about 6 weeks after she died because I just couldn't stand to not have a cat! Best wishes...

I love your bookmark and am so sorry for the loss of your dear kitty cat. We lost our cat last year and I didn't realize how attached I was to the darn thing. My daughter got her when she was three (oh and I said no but who could really say no to a little girl holding a little bitty grey kitty) and the two of them were inseparable after that. Alex (the kitty) never really got into me much, it was always Briana. But when Briana went off to college, Alex was 'stuck' with me and we got closer. The cat was 17 years old when she died and I took it so hard, but not as hard as my daughter did when she came home for her birthday (oh yeah, happened right before birthday and spring break). Its still hard, we miss her so much. We did get a new cat in Feb and Briana (who is finishing up school locally now) talked me into a new kitten a week or so ago. So we are cat full now and having lots of fun. But I like the bookmark memory and may need to try that for Briana. I think she will like it. Mary

Thanks to everyone for your thoughts and prayers. I still can't believe she is actually gone. I feel such an emptiness when I look in "her" spots and she is not there. I don't know if I could ever get another cat. I still have Mona my 13 year old kitty but to ever bring a new one in I am afraid of the ultimate comparisons and disappointments when another cat doesn't do the silly things Sylvester did.

Oh, my! I can't see through my tears! My heart goes out to you! I have 3 cats in my home now, and buried one a year ago. He, I thought, would be irreplaceable. But every cat is unique and special and yes, we do compare, but realize that's not fair. We don't favor a child over another. But you'll never forget what made your baby special. I know how you feel. But I do believe that you need the love of a cat and someday you'll be able to get another one. Your cat was absolutely gorgeous!! God Bless you and your family.
