I figured since my room was pretty much straightened up for my dd's birthday party (see other album) I'd take and post pictures. It rarely looks this tidy!
When we finished our basement, we finished an L-shaped portion of approx 2/3 of the basement. The kids (now 9 & 13) have their playroom & Mom (me) has her playroom. I did NOT want a separate room so as not to be separated from my family.
Home Depot messed up my new kitchen counter twice so one of them became my very nice counter in my craft room. It's approx 11' x 5' L-shaped. A Mills Pride corner cabinet supports the corner along with 3 drawer units. I store my paper tubs and iris carts under the counter.
My Sizzix machine, Sidekick, die towers are on one end (foreground) and my big paper cutter on the other. I tend to stamp/scrap half sitting on the stool and like the counter height. The contractor put the elec outlets at counter height for us. There is a ribbon holder on the wall above my primary workspace and many of my common tools are stored in baskets on the counter. The two stamp pad holders sit in the corner of the counter. This portion of the space has sheet vinyl for easy cleanup. You can see part of the 3 bookcases that hold my reference books, stamp sets, etc. opposite the counter. I also have a small table in the room. Other photos show more. The room is approx 12x18'

Oh how I wish I had a place like this! It's probably just as well-I'd never get anything else done! This looks like such a great place to escape...does the door have a lock on it? :-)
Enjoy your time there and thanks for sharing some neat ideas for my "some day"!

Awesome awesome space! I love having counters to stamp on (much more comfortable if you ask me). We are looking for a new house, and a requirement if for me to have a room of my own. Right now I have to share space with my hubby and all of his electronic equipment.
Thanks for sharing your space with us.

Awesome space!!! It is very neat and tidy, and how wonderful to have your childrens playroom attatched and not walled in! Everyone can play and be happy!

Oh, I'm so impressed! We recently moved to a new house, and I have the "extra" room all for my stamping stuff...but I'm at a loss for how to organize it! I'm also in a quandry, because I can't stand to be back there by myself, so I have to drag it all out to the kitchen table to be with my family while I'm stamping! :-) I saved your album in my favorites, so the DH could see it and help me organize my things!
Thanks for sharing!
