This is the view from the bottom of the steps ( I live in a 4 level split - this is the first level down.) The table sits up to 12 if we squish together 10 is a nice number though for card making 6 max for scrapbooking. My pc is along the wall, my desk is on the back wall under the window, and hidden to the right of my desk is the wall of shelves and counter. Beside the garbage can is a closet that houses my sewing machine and cabinet, that is used for a cutting station more than sewing ( all my photo's are stored in the closet awaiting pages to live on) There is also a 3 peice bathroom beside the garbage can - handy for cleaning up brushes and accessing water. Directly behind my in this photo is access to the family room (it has a door, so the kids can play or watch movies while we stamp!)
I love my room, I just need to decorate it now! What would you do with the panneling? (it's open concept to the upper level and needs to stay neutral the wall color is a tan that looks like washed out version of more mustard.

I would paint the paneling. We just did that in our basement, and as long as you use a good primer before you paint, it should turn out fine. The paneling gives the walls a nice texture to them once they're painted. Have fun!!
