I've had a couple of questions about the medallion so I thought I'd share my process.
I used a hot glue gun on a hot sheet to make the wax seal. I had to do a few test ones to get the circumference and the thickness just right. I really gooed up (one of those technical terms) the stamp with versamark before inserting it into the hot glue. I discovered that I shouldn't press the stamp too far into the hot glue. After you press the stamp into the hot glue, the weight of the stamp will sink it a little further into the hot glue. My glue gun gets really hot so I found that if I waited a few seconds after dropping the puddle of hot glue before stamping it with the stamp, the stamp doesn't sink in as much. Until I figured this out, my stamp was sinking all the way to the hot sheet and I'd end up with holes in the stamped seal. Then I also discovered that if I left it sitting in the hot glue until it got pretty cool, the stamp comes out so much better.
To get the gold color, I just brushed it with gold Perfect Pearls. I tried Pearl Ex but it needed a fixative so I took a shortcut and used the Perfect Pearls.
