I needed to make a few quick cards yesterday afternoon ... and have wanted to use a masking technique with this flower stamp for awhile. I cut my white cardstock and then used 4 Post It Notes to mask off the piece so I could stamp on the inner portion. Next I stamped the flower petals using Colorbox Rouge ink, removed the Post It Notes and then matted on black cardstock and then on the black polka dot paper by A Muse. Adhered dimensionals to this portion and adhered to the card base. Used the Word Window punch by SU! for the black tabs on the bottom and then added a little ribbon to punch it up a notch. Sentiment by A Muse. Also added a bit of Stickles in the center of the middle flower to add some sparkle.
Such a fun technique and takes NO TIME to create a card like this.
Can be seen in the Spring 2007 issue of Take Ten (page 70).
