This is a journal I made for my best friend. We are both hopelessly behind in scrapbooking so this is to write stuff down as it happens to scrap later. One day I'll make one for me, too! I just used a Mead Spiral Notebook. I decided to attach the front cover to the Mead cover for added stability, but the back cover and inside tab pages are just SU cardstock.

How do you get your cover paper to "fit" so well into the sprial binding? Does that even make sense. I can't ever seem to get mine to work that well - any tips???

After taking the spiral binding thing out, I laid the cover on my cardstock for measurements. Then after the cs was cut out, I laid the cover on it again and traced all the ring holes onto my cs. Then I discovered that the SU double punch is the exact right size to punch two holes at a time. The holes are smaller than the Mead cover to which I attach the cs, but you can only notice that on the inside of the journal and it isn't that big of a deal.
Does that help? Let me know if I should try to explain it better.
