One of my self challenges with the Featured Stampers is to go to the earliest page in their album and look for inspiration there. I loved the color combination and the layout of this card, I decided to do my own version of it using a super cute stamp set that I have, Snailed It, that I have not yet used.
For the card base I used a Dollar Tree/Hallmark thank you card with blank inside. I covered the front with pastel green card stock, leaving a small border showing the multicolor dots on the card front. I cut yellow rectangles and layered onto the green, then cut smaller rectangles from blue card stock and embossed with a wood grain folder and glued to the yellow layer. I cut white card stock with a square stitched die and pale pink with the postage frame die from the Snailed It set and glued the white and pink pieces together. I sampled the snail image on a scrap of white cardstock, colored with pencils, and used the matching die to cut it out, and attached to the pink square, then stamped the sentiment directly onto the pink pink square. I knotted small pieces of sheer yellow and pastel blue dotted ribbons around the outermost part of a spiral paper clip, then slid onto the white and pink square. I attached this piece to the card using foam tape, making sure to catch part of the clip under one of the foam tape pieces to keep it secured.
Belated congratulations to Michelle and thanks for your inspiration for this fun card!
