I have been trying to think where I know that poem from, and I have a feeling that it is probably from one of Edward Eager's books, maybe The Time Garden?
Anyway, I have nothing specific that I needed to make an announcement about right now, so I pulled out this versatile Hero Arts sentiment and made a generic announcement card.
I stamped my headline banner and added the dog underneath, colouring with pencils and adjusting the mod stitched rectangle die to fit. I used more stamps from the set (though I think the hinge and bulldog clip might be from a PinkInk set, Hinge & Bracket) to create a simple background, sponging the card with antique linen and edging with intage photo.

This is a great sentiment and fantastic image. I recently learned that the local paper that I used to deliver many years ago as a kid is no longer doing printed copies. Oh the memories of my youth and those routes.

Super creative and fun, Sabrina. Some great stamping and designing here and it could work for lots of occasions or just a catch up with a friend. Fun. Hugz
