I found a pretty dress in a pastel tie dye that I really liked! I blended the white panel with antique linen, spun sugar, salvaged patina and shaded lilac oxide inks, then applied Ranger transparent texture paste, through the PPP birthday words stencil. While that was drying I cut the balloons from colored vellum and white strings. The balloons were attached and the panel was placed on the white card base. Here's my inspiration.

Beautiful blend of colors in the bg and I like the added white embossed text. I love using colored vellum for balloons - the translucency really gives a natural feel and lets us enjoy all the layers to the fullest.

The technique you used on your background is stunning, Sue. I love the colors you used. The vellum balloons bring it all together so beautifully. Balloons are usually hard for me. Vellum is the answer!
