This week we are sending some Tea Potter cheer to Christine who is battling Lymphoma. She has a good prognosis and a positive attitude, but could still use a bit of support for all the crappy side affects of chemo. We were asked to use the letters for C-A-R-E for our cards and maybe Snoopy. I don't have any Snoopy so I went with a butterfly.
C = Chrysalis (well it was before it was a butterfly);
waterColoring
A = Amethyst; Animal; Antennae
R= Rainbow colors
E = Embellishing; Embossing
For my card, I stamped the butterfly using a Misti and left the cs there. Using watercolor pencils, added the swatches of colors. Stamped the butterfly image several times to get it dark and then embossed with clear embossing powder for a bit of sheen. The sentiment is computer generated using American Typewriter font. Finished off with Nuvo Drops.
I know Christine will be encourage by all the wonderful cards you Tea Potters have made this week. You have made me smile with each viewing and I'm sure she will as well. TFL.

I love how you used the water color behind your butterfly image! Great card!

Beautiful colours, and the strokes of colour washed across behind (ok, technically over but visually behind) the butterfly are lovely, a great colour gradient. The angled sentiment strip looks super.

this is a stunning card. I just purchased some water color paper at Walmart (no craft stores near us at all) ... cards like this one really inspire me ! This came out beautifully...

Debbie, I'm so glad that you shared your techniques for creating this beautiful card. I love the look you achieved with your water coloring and butterfly. Really like your sentiment treatment and the Nuvo drops, too! This is such an uplifting card for Christine!
