I'm waiting for my masking fluid, but wanted to play today using another masking method I've die cut the tree, added a bit removable glue to keep it in place, then water colored the sky and grass, some of the paint went under the die cut, but it didn't look too bad, I've peeled it off carefully and added a bit of foam tape behind the die cut and put it back on the card so we've got a white shadow from the tree
I hope you like where my crazy mind brought me.
I hope to be back tomorrow with another using masking fluid

Love it!!!! You don't have a crazy mind it's an artsy mind. Thanks for sharing your technique with us and waiting to see what you do with the masking fluid. Fav'd

Aren't you so clever? I would know you can figure out a way to do this if you are out of masking fluid. It is a great idea and I really like how you came out with a shadow of a tree behind your die cut tree. Good work, Anita.

Well, this is certainly cool! The little bit of bleed under the die cut made for the perfect white shadow as they typically don't have a sharp outline.
