I am your color challenge hostess this week and the colors I chose Orchid Oasis, Parakeet Party and Starry Night. These are soon to retire Stampin' Up! In Colors so if you don't have them, just think medium blue, darker blue and a light, maybe bright, green. I chose these colors because though I was SO excited to get a periwinkle type color in Orchid Oasis, now I will miss it along with the others. I admire it daily, yet I haven't used it much.
Let me tell you, I have created so many pieces using this color! In the end, I decided that I really like it better rather simple. I blended both Orchid Oasis and Starry Night on white cardstock and then used all three colors on the Magnolia. Maybe that's the secret. Don't get so busy and just let the color shine.
By the way, dessert is "something warm". That could be an object, a warm color or even your greeting. I'm going with "...you are loved" is a warm greeting!
Thank you so much for looking and I hope you will play along!

This is so pretty Chris. I love magnolias and the soft color you added to yours. I have a magnolia bush but after 7 years it still hasn't bloomed. I am hoping this is the year.

I made a slight detour between reading your description and writing this note--I had to find that magnolia set. Coming tomorrow, eh? It's on my wish list! I love the way you blended the colors from white all the way to dark blue. And the touch of blue in the center of the bloom ties it all together! Lovely!

Sponging can make all the difference, can't it?! Beautiful card, and I like the die cut!
