I used twine to make a circular frame / bird nest on this tag. I like the texture of twine and reach for it pretty often. A family of blue tits live in the nest. The mixed media background has a burlap texture created with paint, a stencil, paste and gold wax.
Coat a tag with gesso and when dry add Texture paste through a stencil. Paint with Distress Paint and mist with water to blend. Stamp with a background stamp and add gold wax here and there.
Die cut the birds and watercolor with Distress Ink. Smear the ink on a non-stick craft sheet and mist with water.
Thank you so much for looking!
Happy stamping!

Anna-Karin, I LOVE the way you’ve used your twine and cheesecloth to make a nest for your super sweet and wonderfully coloured birds. The textures and design on your bg are stunning.
