I couldn't decide which idiom to go with - dog days of summer or take time to smell the flowers, so I'm going with both.
Stamped and framed this lovable Whipper Snapper doggy and layered him over a stenciled background. Hard to see, but I applied glossy accents to his galoshes.

So fun. Great images and details. Love that you covered two idioms and stenciled that background panel too. Happy and delightful card. Hugz

Very cute. I'm loving all the interpretations of the chosen idioms. It wouldn't have occurred to me to do dog days of summer in this manner. Brilliant.

I'm catching just a hint of the shine on the boots - That flower smelling dog makes me think of a dog I "babysat" for my neighbor years ago - he would walk back and forth on the brick wall around my flower beds - poking his nose into flowers as he went along. The Lantana always made him sneeze - lol This was a super way to cover 2 idioms with one sweet scene.
