Julie selected Doodle and Stitch as our inspiration site this week. I was inspired by the wreath in the thumbnail on line 2 at the far right.
I drew the wreath, flowers, and white wood background and colored them with watercolors. Then I added some markers to get the darker colors in the flower and wreath.
To finish it off, I splattered on some white acrylic paint and added a happy birthday sentiment.

I am always awestruck by your gorgeous water coloring, Nancy. I looked at your wood background and thought you couldn't possibly have painted it, but then I read that you did! The details on your flower wreath are beautiful and your painting is exquisite. And, of course, your spatters are perfect.
