This is my card for CC985. Jeanne is our hostess and she chose polished pink, tahitian tide and lemon lolly for her color trio. Dessert option this week is to use something that starts with the letter "B". I used a Lawn Fawn border die - not sure if that counts (LOL)!!!
I thought I would try and make a Valentine using non-traditional colors. With the Lawn Fawn candy hearts die I accomplished my mission, especially since candy hearts come in these colors.
My background paper is from the Stampin' Up "bloom where you are planted" collection and the color is gray granite (neutral). My card base is also gray granite.
I cut the hearts in the challenge colors. My border die is cut in polished pink. To finish off my card I added some polished pink jewels and a couple of polished pink hearts cut from cardstock.
Hope you can play along with us this week. Jeanne has chosen some bright colors for your card making designs.

Your little stitched hearts with sentiments on them are just Darling, Mary. The additional hearts, gems and bottom sentiment look wonderful. Cute Valentine~

Your candy hearts are perfect for these colors Mary! They match the real deal and make for a very sweet Valentine. And yes, you do get dessert for using a border die - it begins with "B"!
