I liked the composition of it, the use of grays, and the challenge of creating it without any of the exact stamps that Cindy has. I also wanted to do the winter bird CAS challenge from this past Monday, which helped me in choosing the colors.
I covered a premade white card with a panel of pink snowflake paper and found a nice grey circles pattern in my scraps that seemed to go well and also suggest a winter theme. I trimmed it into a banner shape and backed with a slightly larger banner of light gray cardstock, then added to the card front. I die cut the large leaf branch with berries from dark gray cardstock. The die includes a rectangular frame so I cut the leaf out of the frame and cut it a bit shorter than the original. I die cut a second one from a scrap of pink glitter cardstock and cut the berries out, then glued the berries to the gray die cut and glued to the card front.
I did not have a doily so I improvised with a lacy border strip die cut that I then used an oval die on to approximate the doily shape. I glued it to the card front. On a scrap of white cardstock I stamped several leaves, stems, and small flowers from the SU Darling Details set in Smokey Slate ink and colored the leaves with the lightest gray alcohol marker, and the flowers with the lightest pink. I fussy cut out the stamped images and glued on top of the lacy piece. I die cut the label and stamped the sentiment in Basic gray. I stamped the bird in Basic gray and fussy cut it out, and glued to the label. I attached the label to the card front with foam tape and finished with several light pink gem stickers.
If I did it over again I would probably skip the improvised doily and maybe the lighter florals as well for a more CAS design, but I was pretty happy with how it turned out.
Congrats on being the Featured Stamper, Cindy, hope your week was fun!
