It hit be because of the blue sky and landscape which reminded me of a picture my DD posted of my 7-year-old grandson who is on a duck hunting trip on Arkansas this weekend.
I got a crazy idea to paint the picture. I don't do people very well and have no idea what possessed me be brave, but I like how it came out and I am giving it to him the minute he gets home today.
This hunting trip has been an adventure. He got to walk on frozen water, play in the snow, and hunt ducks with his father and his cousin.
I changed the scene, tore my edges, added a sentiment, and eliminated the red border. I did keep the blue sky, snow, and dotted base panel.
Congrats to you, Cindy. Enjoy your week and have a fun time seeing how you inspire others.

Super card for your grandson. What an adventure he is having. I think you did an excellent job sketching a person. Your scene is perfect. It snowed here 7 1/2" a week ago and it is still with us....ready for it to be gone, though it has been beautiful. It is too cold here.

This is AMAZING Nutz! You really pulled it off and your grandson will love this. Fabulous painting - I would never attempt a person. Beautiful background too.

Nancy, this is totally hilarious! Aside from the humor, so great. I didn't realize you hand-drew the guy. The painting is also fabulous. Super great card.

Stunning. I love how your captured the essence of his adventure with this beautiful painting. The dotted base and torn edges add a lovely, artistic element. I can so relate to your sentiment as I hunted much in my youth but not a bit interested these days. But to be out there in the elements can be exhilarating...and really cold! Fabulous card, Nancy.

You always amaze me! I love the thought that went into this, and I'm sure your grandson will treasure the card, along with the memories of his hunting trip!
