It's Tickle Time once again and this month our hostess, Jean jkanack has challenged us to explore the sense of direction. I love this prompt!
It was a no brainer the direction I was going to head toward...even with me taking a long hiatus from SCS this past year. Stampers Anonymous fabulous sign pole was my beginning. It has 6 random placed 'wooden' arrows. I stamped the sign post 3 times and fussy cut to build some dimension to the post. The sentiment: May the road always lead where you need to be. I cut the sentiment apart to fit on the blanks, using the number 2 for 'to' and the letter 'B' for be. The post was inked and swiped with various brownish tones.
I was able to use the One Canoe Two 'Goldenrod' dp. I had just a bit of the original landscape 5x6 print. I also used a stripe from the same group to place along the left side. Down the vertical edge I used a Washi map tape which actually had some Southern towns and roads I recognized. The edge with a tiny purple with copper flowers across the top.
Thanks for your comments. I'd love to hear about what direction means to you. Jean...thanks for giving me some direction!

Wonderful composition on this! That landscape scrap really lends to the overall feel. When I think of direction I always remember a Mary Engelbreit card my mother sent to me shortly after my divorce. The sentiment was, "Don't look back, you're not going that way". More recently two phrases I've encountered are "Through change we find our direction" and "If you don't like where you're at, move - you're not a tree". Embracing change as we find our true north is where I'm at. Thanks for a lovely card and a thought-provoking question!

This is certainly representative of your life right now...Now that you're retired where will these signs point to for you. I really like the way you applied the sentiment to all the signs and utilized numbers for some...very clever. The dp works well for the wide open spaces for all of us to explore. The washi and the trim at the top are great details.

Love that directional sign and the way you labeled it, and the background paper couldn’t be any better for the overall theme and design. I love this card!

I can't express how happy I am that you joined in. I so have missed your creations. This is vintage Susan! Love how that sign post is so important, beautifully done. I know you love that paper, which I've never bought. All the extra details are subtle but wonderful. Thank you, thank you and thank you, bfnm.

Lovely country feel to this card. A signpost way out in the country leading to who knows where. Just makes you want to pick one direction and see where it leads you.

That fluffy sky caught my eye. I could paint skies all day long! Hard to believe that is designer paper it looks so good. I like the way you laid out the card using other paper with the signpost being your focal point. That reminds me of my trips winetasting where the signposts point to all the different wineries.
