A big congrats to DonnaJeanne, the newest Featured Stamper (FS877)! She has a marvelous gallery & I chose THIS card to case. I kept the muted grey & white w/ a splash of red colors & the 2 wheeler, but I used different images & dies, a bicycle instead of a motorcycle & made mine a Christmas card.
After stamping & die cutting the bicycle, poinsettia, holly & bow, I stamped the snowflakes & postcard border using light grey ink. The paper came w/ this distressed look & I thought it worked well for my vintage postcard look. I also inked the edges just a bit w/ the same grey ink. For the greeting & other postcard writing, I stamped it first w/ black ink then over stamped w/ red to give it the burgundy color. I added a die cut little cardinal on the bicycle seat. I added another die cut bicycle under the original to give it a little dimension & sturdiness.
Thanks so much for looking. It's on my blog w/ more pics & info: The Write Stuff

Julie, this is such a great case of Donnajeanne's card. I love the vintage postcard theme. The muted background images really allow the cardinal and basket full of holly and ivy to pop. Great use of the postcard stamp.

Wonderful interpretation, Julie! I love the Christmas direction you chose to go with. That cardinal is stunning against the soft neutral of your background. It pops off the page for perfect interest along with your beautiful basket.

Terrific case, and I love the bike in place of the motorcycle!

I love the vintage postcard look for this old fashioned kind of a Christmas card. I remember when lots of people mailed postcards instead of cards, because I think postcards cost only about 3 cents to mail. That seems unbelievable now days!! That adorable little cardinal caught my eye immediately!
