Today we're using a regular no 2 pencil as one of our mediums. I sketched the paint tube and then painted around it with some subtle water coloring. I made the blue darker coming out of the tube and I wanted it to have some texture to it so I mixed in some glass bead gel. I hand wrote the two art quotes...My current handwriting is so messy so I made an extra effort to go really slow when writing. I did ok...guess I need to just take my time. I then did some doodling in the open spaces. Come join us this week and get out your pencils!

Great quotes, I especially like the Matisse one. Cool idea to add the glass bead medium to the paint. I remember when Winsor& Newton first launched it - they'd brought out their students range of acrylics and developed a range of maybe half a dozen or eight mediums. We had display boards for marketing with real samples on them, and the glass bead was always my favourite. I can't now remember what any of the others were, except a gritty lava/pumice one.
The flowers add a wonderful Spring feel.

Wow, what an encouraging work for us budding artists! Hard to choose one of the quotes as a favorite, though de Vinci is whispering to my unfinished ideas. Your sketched paint tube is fab and the ‘lil dab of paint. I especially like the delicate hand you chose to use, the vibrant blue of the base sets the perfect balance.
