For today's WT we're to illustrate how we got to school every day. I walked most days unless we had a downpour or it was bitterly cold. Since probably half my school days were during the winter and since I live in a northern state there was snow involved on my walk.
Funny aside: I lived 2 blocks from my grade school and way back then we were allowed to go home for lunch. I would walk to and from, eat my lunch, and even managed to watch a little bit of "Lunch with Casey", the local kids show at noon. Casey was Casey Jones, a train engineer. Can't believe I did all that in a half hour or so...guess I wasn't a dawdler.

Such a delightful snowy scene, Polly, you certainly would have needed to be wearing many layers walking to school in the Winter! Funny we have both paper pieced our outfits for this challenge ~

I think this little guy's sister is on my card, only she's walking on a rainy day : ) I love the snow drifts and fun ric-rac framing. I walked to school most days, as well, through all kinds of weather, including plenty of snow!

I love reading about your travels to school. When I did walk to school, I actually had to walk across a creek on top of rocks that were on the creek. I think I was pretty good about not falling in the water but I am sure at least once I may have wobbled and fallen in the water. I use to walk every day including in the snow.
I love your little girl and your cute paper and snow scene.

What an adorable card! I like the plaid pattern for the background and paper pieced for the pants. The zig zag strips to make a frame is so cool - I will have try try that! I love how everything is so color coordinated and cohesive. Fun card!
