I used distress sprays, inks and metallic rubs to age my card. I wiped black soot DO ink on a 3D ef and ran that through my machine. I then used a distress spray in tarnished bronze on the folder and wiped off parts that were in the smooth part of the folder. When I ran it again the bronze was left on the raised portions. I choose to use a portion of the embossed paper on my card and then added a distressed border and some leafy branches that I aged with acrylic paints and inks. The boy is a photo stamp inked up with StazOn and stamped on glossy paper. The backing layer is distressed with inks, metallic rub, and some crackle stamping.

Gorgeous bg. I really love the slightly distressed edges as well as how the layers give hint of more patterns and colors. The shimmers are beautiful, mf
