My grandmother had glads growing in her garden. They were against the house where their long stems could lean and not break. Her name was Gladys, and her birthday was August 23rd (1896), and I was thinking of her the whole time I was making this.
I know these are hollyhocks, but they will have to do.

Awwwwww, I love your story about Grandma. August babies like me love glads, she had the perfect name!!!!!!! Was that chance or on purpose to name her that?

Such a beautiful card, Anne. I love that shade of red and it really pops against the white dotted embossing. I was thinking of making a card for this challenge and the closest I can get to glads is hollyhocks, as well : ) I loved reading about your grandmother Gladys.

Consider this . . . . your gladiolus are in disguise as hollyhocks for an upcoming masquerade party . . . Love that the work on this card reminded you of your grandmother - Hydrangea always take me back to my grandma.
